The Technical Association of the Graphic Arts is an international community of industry professionals and academics dedicated to scientific research and technological innovation in the diverse field of graphic communications. The Annual Technical Conference provides authors one of the premier platforms for communication, publication, and outreach in the graphic communications industry. During the event, industry leaders, innovators, researchers, scientists, and end users can evaluate the latest R&D and learn how it can impact their own activities and business.

For Industry Professionals it offers the opportunity to evaluate the benefit and use of developing technology, be aware of new technological trends, network with peers who are actively conducting research, and cultivate new upcoming talent.

For Academics and Scientists it provides the ability to directly interact with fellow academics, scientists and industry professionals actively conducting research in graphic communications along with access to the Annual TAGA conference proceedings and its 70-year archive of paper publications. It also puts you in touch with industry suppliers that may collaborate with and/or help you fund research projects.

Papers focus on emerging technologies, workflow, and production systems, while continuing to examine changes in equipment, paper, ink, and consumables. It maintains the industry’s best permanent set of technical papers and abstracts that have been published and maintained by the Technical Association of the Graphic Arts (TAGA) since its founding in 1948. These are all available free to PRINTING United Alliance members.

TAGA is industry leading with the guidance and support it gives to its university chapters. The Annual Technical Conference provides a unique opportunity for students to compete in several competitions, share their research activities and network with some of the leading individuals in the industry.

Mission: To provide a worldwide forum for sharing and disseminating theoretical, functional, and practical information on current and emerging technologies for graphic arts print production and related processes.

Management: TAGA is part of PRINTING United Alliance, the largest graphic arts trade association, serving the interests of thousands of member companies through advocacy, education, research, technical information, and cost-saving resources.
