The Comparison of Proofing Based On GRACoL with the Proofing Based On ICC Profile for Offset Printing Machine
Nguyen Long Giang, Ho Chi Minh University of Technology and Education
Proofing on digital printing machine for offset printing is a problem that most printers are aiming to achieve with the lowest color deviation between the proofing and mass production print. There are 2 ways to print a proofing: (1) based on GRACoL for an offset printing machine that has reached GRACoL and (2) based on the ICC profile of offset printing machine. The comparison of these two ways of proofing will guide us to decide how to conduct the proofing. The results show that (1) the DE2000 of proofing based on the ICC profile (compared to the GRACoL 2013) is higher than the DE2000 of proofing based on GRACoL (compared to the GRACoL 2013) and (2) the DE2000 of proofing based on the ICC profile (compared to the mass production printing) is lower than the DE2000 of proofing based on GRACoL (compared to the mass production printing).
